Five Minute Friday~ Relevant Edition

It’s Friday. I’m at Relevant. I’m so tired.  And my heart is so very full.  I wasn’t going to blog while I am here.  But then I was talking to Lisa-Jo and she mentioned Five Minute Friday and I thought, how could I not participate, when I am blessed to be here with her? So I’m going to do it. Real writers forsake sleep to write. Well, that’s what I tell myself anyway… ;)

In case you’re new, the rules are simple: Write for five minutes, give yourself a break, no harsh editing! Link up and go and encourage others by leaving sweet comments on their Five Minute Friday posts. Simple. Fun. Freeing.

Lisa-Jo chooses the topic, today, it’s Relevant.

I didn’t think I was coming. Now I am here and I can’t believe this community of people, this community of women, of artists… I have worried about being irrelevant for some time. My fears have fooled me into thinking that my words don’t really matter, that my thoughts aren’t relevant. But here I am, surrounded by a wealth of women who all share this heart for Christ. We are discovering that what we say, how we live, how we share Christ, its relevant to this life. It’s relevant to growing ones faith.  This amazing space here, this conference, will forever be what I think of when I hear the word relevant.  These faces, these sweet, loving hearts, they will be who comes to mind from now on when I hear that word.  We are all relevant. What we say matters. What we think about life, and faith, it matters. Keep speaking. Keep seeking. Keep living your faith. How you demonstrate Christ is relevant.

What do you think of when you hear the word, Relevant?

I’m pretty sure the comments you receive here on your blog should help knock this fear away, too: “My fears have fooled me into thinking that my words don’t really matter, that my thoughts aren’t relevant.”

I know this weekend is already a blessing to you, Kris!

Amazing how EVERYTHING we do is relevant, yet also we get to select what we want to be more relevant that something else. Especially when our day, or world is overbearing. Nice to meet you! Hope you enjoy your time with the ladies and all God has planned for you to find is relevant for YOU!
