Around here, on Friday’s we like to let our hair down just a bit. We write for just five minutes without stressing over our words and we publish it. No second guessing, no fretting. Lisa-Jo picks the prompt, and today it’s Here.
Go.
There’s this story I’m wanting to tell, here in this space–to you.
The words, still tumbling around in my head–letters in the Bingo tumbler, just tossing around, knocking into each other.
I keep waiting for the winning combination–I might be waiting a while.
This place is new to me.
Unfamiliar territory.
But that’s how God writes our stories, isn’t it–when we let Him. He brings us to places we never imagined, places we didn’t know we needed to go.
I take off my shoes, I bend my knees.
Head and hands folded in together I’m learning to wait–to slow.
Waiting on the Lord can be the most active thing we do.
I’m here, this place of stillness, praying for the wisdom, the words–the winning combination to let my story tumble out.
Stop.
